Moon Exploration ”Artemis Project” Unmanned Spacecraft Returns to Earth

In the international lunar exploration ”Artemis Project” in which Japan also participates, the unmanned spacecraft ”Orion”, which was launched last month as a test flight for astronauts to land on the moon, has returned to Earth after orbiting the moon.
According to NASA = National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the unmanned spacecraft ”Orion” completed a test flight such as circling the moon’s orbit over about 26 days, around 3:00 am on the 12th Japan time, over the Pacific Ocean landed on the water
”The hull will be recovered by NASA teams and the US Navy in the future.”
NASA Director Nelson praised the success, saying, ”This test flight is a major step forward in the Artemis Project.”
NASA plans to land astronauts on the moon for the first time in about half a century since the ”Apollo program” with the goal of 2025.
