Sumitomo Life to sell the industry’s first ”influenza insurance”
住友生命はインフルエンザに特化した初めての保険を販売すると発表しました
Sumitomo Life has announced that it will sell its first insurance specializing in influenza.
Sumitomo Life’s subsidiary ”Aial Small Short-Term Insurance” will sell ”Influenza Condolence Money Insurance” within the cashless payment ”PayPay” from the 11th.
Insurance will be paid when you are diagnosed with influenza and are prescribed anti-influenza drugs or when you are hospitalized.
Monthly premiums range from 250 yen to 1,090 yen, 3,000 to 7,000 yen for prescription drugs, and 30,000 yen for hospitalization, which will be transferred to your bank account on the day of billing at the earliest.
The insurance period can be selected in units of one month, and in fiscal 2022, the maximum period is three months until the end of April.
