トルコ大地震で家を失った被災者のためにカタール政府は、去年のサッカーワールドカップで使用したコンテナ住居の寄贈を進めています
The Qatar government is donating the container housing used at last year’s soccer World Cup for those who lost their homes in the Turkish earthquake.
地元メディアによりますと、カタール政府は21日、これまでにおよそ4000戸のコンテナ住居を大地震で甚大な被害が出ているトルコとシリアに寄贈したと発表しました
According to local media, the Qatar government announced on the 21st that it has so far donated approximately 4,000 container housing units to Turkey and Syria, which have been severely damaged by the earthquake.
このコンテナ住居は、去年行われたサッカーワールドカップで、宿泊施設の不足を解消するために作られたもので、トイレやシャワー、エアコンをを完備し、1戸あたり2人が住むことができます
This container housing was created to solve the shortage of accommodation during the soccer World Cup held last year.
当時は「コンテナなのに1泊およそ3万円もする」と不評でしたが、今回、有効活用されることになりました
At the time, it was unpopular, saying, ”Even though it’s a container, it costs about 30,000 yen per night.”
トルコでは大地震により、160万人近くが家を失い、被災者の住む場所の確保が課題となっています
In Turkey, nearly 1.6 million people lost their homes due to the massive earthquake, and securing places to live for the victims has become an issue.
カタールは、今後、さらに6000戸のコンテナ住戸を届ける予定だとしています
