Junior Chihara wants to get to know ”shut-ins” more
In Kouchi prefecture, a poster has been created with a picture of the celebrity Junior Chihara with the phrase ”Don’t Suffer Alone”.
It was made to get to know ”shut-ins” more.
A ”shut-in” is someone who stays in their house for a very long time, causing their social life to almost disappear.
千原さんは中学生のとき、ひきこもりを経験しました
During his time in middle school, Chihara experienced being a shut-in.
When the poster was released, he said ”I thought it would be good to help out those who are shut-ins, even a little bit”
そして、ひきこもりの人たちに「ひきこもりの人が、今なら外に出ていくことができると思うタイミングは、1人1人違います
Then, to those who are shut-ins he said ” right now for shut-ins, the timing for being able to go outside is different for each person.
You don’t have to rush.
Until the time comes, hold onto that feeling of wanting to go outside”
