A stone like sushi

静岡県しずおかけん富士宮市ふじのみやしにある石いしの博物館はくぶつかんで、すしのような石いしを紹介しょうかいしています

Introducing sushi-like stones at the Stone Museum in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture

この作品さくひんは、今年ことし美術びじゅつの大学だいがくを卒業そつぎょうした濱平はまひら茉莉まりさんが作つくりました

This work was made by Mari Hamahira, who graduated from an art university this year.

石いしを削けずったり磨みがいたりして、「大おおとろ」などのすしに見みえるようにしました

I sharpened and polished the stones so that they look like sushi such as ”Otoro”.

作品さくひんは50ぐらいあって、できるまでに1年ねんぐらいかかりました

There were about 50 works, and it took about a year to do it.

「赤御影石あかみかげいし」という石いしがまぐろの刺身さしみのように見みえたため、濱平はまひらさんは作品さくひんを作つくり始はじめたと言いっています

Mr. Hamahira says that he started making works because the stone called ”red granite” looked like tuna sashimi.

石いしを見みた男おとこの子こは「本当ほんとうのすしのようです

The boy who saw the stone said, ”It’s like a real sushi.

すしが食たべたくなりました」と話はなしていました

I want to eat sushi. ”

博物館はくぶつかんの人ひとは「この作品さくひんを見みて、石いしのおもしろさを知しってほしいです」と話はなしていました

A museum person said, ”I want you to see this work and know the fun of stones.”

すしのような石いしは8月がつ31日にちまで見みることができます

すしのような石いし「いただきます」

A sushi like stone.

静岡県しずおかけん富士宮市ふじのみやしにある石いしの博物館はくぶつかんで、すしのような石いしを紹介しょうかいしています

A sushi like stone was introduced at art museum in Fujinomiya city, Shizuoka prefecture.

この作品さくひんは、今年ことし美術びじゅつの大学だいがくを卒業そつぎょうした濱平はまひら茉莉まりさんが作つくりました

These pieces were made by Matsumi Hamahira who graduated from art university this year.

石いしを削けずったり磨みがいたりして、「大おおとろ」などのすしに見みえるようにしました

The stones were carved and polished to look like tuna and other sushi.

作品さくひんは50ぐらいあって、できるまでに1年ねんぐらいかかりました

There are around 50 pieces which took about a year to make.

「赤御影石あかみかげいし」という石いしがまぐろの刺身さしみのように見みえたため、濱平はまひらさんは作品さくひんを作つくり始はじめたと言いっています

Ms. Hamahira said she began to make the pieces because red granite looks a lot like tuna sashimi.

The stones that look like sushi are available to see until 31st August.
