Alzheimer’s disease ’new drug to keep it from getting worse’

Eisai, a drug company, is working with Biogen in the United States to develop a new drug, lecanemab, for Alzheimer’s disease, which causes the brain to malfunction.
Lecanemab removes abnormal proteins that accumulate in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease and prevents nerve cells from breaking down.
According to the company, since March 2019, this drug has been used for people with mild dementia in the United States, Japan, Europe, etc.
