This is the first major US bank to announce its withdrawal following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

A Goldman Sachs spokeswoman told CNN that it is ”reducing Russia’s business in accordance with regulatory and licensing requirements.”

JPMorgan Chase, the largest US company, also announced that it is ”actively eliminating” the Russian business and the pursuit of new business in the country.
”We are following the instructions of governments around the world,” he explained.
