ある所に、 とてもきれいなお家がありました。
ここに住んでいるのは、 きっちり屋さんのリトルミス二ート。
お家はいつもピッカピカ。
キッチンも、 食器も、 この通りきちんと揃っています。
道の真ん中に水たまり。
大変！ すぐにきれいにしなくっちゃ。
リトルミス二ートは夏になると旅行に出かけます。
スーツケースをピカピカに磨いて準備万端。
お家に埃が溜まらないか、 少し心配しつつ、
リトルミス二ートは旅行に出かけました。
しばらくすると誰かが訪ねて来ました。
彼の名はミスターマドル。
とんちんかんで、 何でも間違えてばかり。
リトルミス二ートがいないことに気付いたミスターマドルは、
お茶を飲んで待つことにしました。
こうしてマドルはリトルミス二ートのお家で散々寛いで帰って行きました。
それから数日後、 旅行を満喫したリトルミス二ートが帰って来ました。
埃が溜まっていないことを確認し、 一安心。
一息ついてお茶を飲もうとすると、 食器がいつもの所にありません。
ティースプーンも、 どこに行ったの？
何とかお茶を入れることができました。
おや、 電話です。
電話に出ると、
「 もしかしてミスターマドル？ 」 リトルミス二ートは聞きました。
大正解！
リトルミス二ートはミスターマドルに「 留守中にうちに来たか？ 」 と聞きました。
「 行ったよ！ 」 珍しくちゃんと答えたミスターマドルですが、
リトルミス二ートはそれを聞いてまた溜め息。
「 あっ、 こんな所に探していたスプーンが！ 」
