日本郵便は都内の病院から郵便局の間、約700メートルの距離を配送ロボットを使って荷物を届ける実証実験を行いました。
Japan Post conducted a test of baggage delivering which used a delivery robot at a distance of about 700 meters between a hospital and a post office in Tokyo.
配送ロボットは事前に設定されたルートで横断歩道を渡ったり、歩行者などにぶつからないよう判断しながら目的地を目指しました。
The delivery robot directed towards the target location while crossing the pedestrian crossing on a set route and judging not to crash into the pedestrian.
こうした配送ロボットが公道を走る実証実験は国内で初めてだということです。
This is the first test of allowing a delivery robot to run on public roads in Japan.
日本郵便は3年以内の実用化を目指したい考えです。
