Nitori will expand half of its store openings overseas
国内外で出店を拡大している家具販売チェーン最大手「ニトリ」の似鳥昭雄会長は出店の半数を海外で展開する方針を明らかにしました
Akio Nitori, chairman of Nitori, the largest furniture sales chain that is expanding its store openings both domestically and internationally, has announced that the company plans to open half of its stores overseas.
In order to strengthen the overseas expansion, Nitori’s President Takeda will focus on overseas business as Vice President of Holdings.
The aim is also to avoid foreign exchange risk, which has become uncertain due to the prolonged depreciation of the yen.
Nitori plans to open 1,000 stores in March of this year, and in the future they hope to open 3,000 stores, half of which will be overseas.
