A Japanese man who runs a company in the Philippines was detained by local authorities on suspicion of being an illegal resident.

According to the Philippine Immigration Bureau, a 36-year-old Japanese man was detained on the 15th at the airport in the capital Manila on suspicion of illegally staying in the country as he was about to leave the country for Dubai.
The man was said to have been the president of a company in Manila.
Multiple complaints had been filed with local authorities regarding the man as an affiliate of a company that was allegedly committing fraud.
It is expected that the man will be deported to Japan in the future.
