Kirin HD makes FANCL a wholly owned subsidiary, TOB established
飲料大手のキリンホールディングスは健康食品などを扱うファンケルへのTOB（株式公開買い付け）が成立したと発表しました
Kirin Holdings, a major beverage company, announced that it has completed a TOB (takeover offer) for FANCL, which handles health foods and other products.
Kirin has been implementing a TOB to FANCL since June, and the TOB was concluded as of the purchase deadline on the 11th of this month.
As a result, FANCL will become a consolidated subsidiary of Kirin as of September 19th.
Kirin plans to make FANCL a wholly owned subsidiary in the future, with a total acquisition cost of approximately 230 billion yen.
We will continue to expand our health-related business in anticipation of the future downsizing of our mainstay alcoholic beverages business.
President Minakata commented, ``We aim to become one of the largest health science companies in Asia Pacific and achieve growth for the entire group.’’
