Many fans are protesting against reports that Australia’s Peggy and Molly, who were popular on social media as a famous combination of a domestic dog and a wild bird, have been separated at the discretion of local authorities.

Peggy is a Staffordshire bull terrier owned by Juliette Wells and Rhys Mortensen.
Then, four years ago, Molly the magpie arrived.
Wells found a baby bird left behind in a local park and brought it home.

But on the 26th, Wells and Mortensen posted a video of Molly being taken away.
The company reported that it was ordered to be handed over to environmental authorities because of complaints from some people.
