Noto Railway shared their experience of the earthquake with people riding the sightseeing train

石川県いしかわけんの能登半島のとはんとうを走はしっている「のと鉄道てつどう」は、今年ことし1月がつの地震じしんで駅えきや線路せんろが壊こわれました

The company’s employees repaired the railroad tracks while living as an evacuee.

会社かいしゃの人ひとたちは、避難ひなん生活せいかつをしながら、線路せんろなどを直なおしました

And in April, it became possible to operate trains between all stations.

そして、4月がつに全部ぜんぶの駅えきの間あいだで列車れっしゃを運転うんてんできるようになりました

In order to share this experience with as many people as possible, a company employee spoke on the sightseeing train on the 26th.

この経験けいけんを多おおくの人ひとに伝つたえるため、26日にち、観光かんこうの列車れっしゃの中なかで会社かいしゃの人ひとが話はなしをしました

At Noto Nakajima Station, ``There was a big tremor here.’’

能登中島駅のとなかじまえきでは「ここで大おおきく揺ゆれました

There was a risk of a tsunami, so I took the passengers on the train and ran to higher ground.”

津波つなみの危険きけんがあったので、列車れっしゃに乗のっていたお客きゃくさまを連つれて、高たかい所ところに逃にげました」と説明せつめいしました

A woman from Tokyo said, ``As I listened to the story and saw the destroyed buildings, I felt the severity of the earthquake.’’

東京とうきょうから来きた女性じょせいは「話はなしを聞ききながら、壊こわれた建物たてものを見みて、地震じしんのひどさを感かんじました」と話はなしました

A company employee said, ``This was my first time working on a train after the earthquake.’’

会社かいしゃの人ひとは「地震じしんのあと初はじめて列車れっしゃで仕事しごとをしました

I remembered how scared I was during the earthquake, but I was glad that everyone listened to me.”

地震じしんで怖こわかったことを思おもい出だしましたが、皆みなさんが話はなしを聞きいてくれて、うれしかったです」と話はなしました
