This year’s global average temperature is the highest on record, EU organization officially announced

The European Union’s (EU) weather information agency, the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), has officially announced that this year’s global average temperature will be the highest ever recorded.

According to C3S, this year’s average temperature is certain to rise by about 1.4 degrees compared to pre-industrial times.
The international rule ”Paris Agreement” aims to limit the temperature rise to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial revolution levels.
Until last year, the increase was around 1.2 degrees.
