Sichuan earthquake ”tough pig” dies, a big topic in China

A pig that was rescued 36 days after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and became famous as ”tough” died, and it has become a big topic in China.
This pig was rescued alive 36 days after the debris in a large earthquake that occurred in Sichuan Province in May 2008.
With more than 87,000 dead and missing, it became famous throughout China as a ”tough pig”.
When the pig died at the age of 14 at the museum that was kept on June 16th, just before the 13th anniversary of the rescue of the pig, it was widely reported in China including the national media.
Xinhua News Agency reported that ”many tourists were visiting the museum to take advantage of the strength of their vitality.”
