The man violently cursed the woman and beat her more than 100 times, causing serious injuries such as cerebral hemorrhage.
On the 29th of last month, the court sentenced a man to 17 years and 6 months in prison for committing a hate crime against an Asian woman.
According to the New York City Police Department, there were 469 hate crimes by the end of September this year, more than double the number during the same period two years ago.
