Taiwan TSMC ”Considering the construction of the second factory in Japan”
台湾の半導体受託製造最大手のTSMCが「日本で2カ所目の工場の建設を検討している」と発表しました
TSMC, Taiwan’s largest semiconductor contract manufacturing company, announced that it is considering building a second factory in Japan.
TSMC, the world’s largest semiconductor contract manufacturing company headquartered in Taiwan, announced on the 12th at an online performance briefing that it was ”considering the construction of a second factory in Japan.”
TSMC is currently constructing a factory in Kumamoto Prefecture, and plans to start operating the Kumamoto factory in the second half of 2024.
TSMC is a major semiconductor manufacturer that does business with Apple Inc. in the United States, known for the iPhone.
It has the world’s largest production capacity and possesses advanced technology such as successful mass production of semiconductors with a circuit line width of 3 nanometers that are installed in cutting-edge equipment.
