”Golden monkey” disappears from the end of May Monkey Park idol
野生のニホンザルが集まる「船越山るり寺モンキーパーク」（兵庫県佐用町船越）で、アイドル的存在だった“黄金のサル”が姿を見せなくなっています
At ”Funakoshisan Ruritsuji Monkey Park” (Funakoshi, Sayo-cho, Hyogo Prefecture) where wild Japanese macaques gather, the ”golden monkey” that was an idol has disappeared.
It is a female ”Hikari” born in June 2002.
As the name suggests, it was popular for its transparent yellow hair, but its whereabouts have not been confirmed since the end of May this year.
It’s possible that they’re just out of the flock, and the park wants them to ”get back on track.”

Hikari is a type of ”albino” that is congenitally deficient in pigment.
It became famous because of its unusual coat color, and when the name was solicited, there were more than 3,000 applications from inside and outside the town.
