世界各地の彫刻家が富山県南砺市に集まり、木彫りの作品を公開制作する国際キャンプが大詰めを迎えています。　
Sculptors from all over the world have gathered in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture and the international camp, where they will publicly create wood carvings, are nearing the final stage.
南砺市の「いなみ国際木彫刻キャンプ」は丸太の原木を削って彫刻を公開制作する国際交流イベントです。　
Nanto City's "Inami International Wood Carving Camp" is an international exchange event in which wood carvings from wood are open to the public.
今月18日に開会し、9カ国から集まった13人の彫刻家と地元からの2団体が「希望」をテーマに合わせて15体の彫刻を制作していて完成間近です。　
Opened on the 18th of this month, 13 sculptors from 9 countries and 2 groups from the local region have created 15 sculptures with the theme of "hope", which are nearing completion.
「海外の作家さんらの作り方などはやっぱり違ったり、学びがいっぱいあって参加してよかったと思います」

見物人もボランティアの通訳を交えて作品について質問し、彫刻家たちと交流を深めていました。　
Viewers also asked questions about the works with the help of volunteer interpreters, in-depth discussions with the sculptors.
30日に閉会式が行われ、作品は南砺市内の公園や施設で公開されます。
The closing ceremony will be held on the 30th and the works will be displayed at parks and facilities in Nanto City.
