流通大手の「イオン」が関東のスーパー「いなげや」を子会社化すると発表しました。
スーパーの「いなげや」は、明治33年（1900年）に東京・立川市で鮮魚店として創業し、現在は1都3県に展開しています。
「イオン」は「いなげや」への出資率をこれまでのおよそ17％から、今年11月をめどに51％に引き上げます。
来年11月には、スーパーの「マルエツ」や「マックスバリュ関東」を傘下に持つイオンの子会社「ユナイテッド・スーパーマーケット・ホールディングス」に経営統合する方針です。
「イオン」の吉田昭夫社長は「少子高齢化やエネルギー価格の高騰など環境が厳しさを増すなか、スケールメリットを生かして、首都圏で強いスーパーマーケット連合体をつくっていく」と述べました。
