たくさんの うつくしい おさかなが すんで いる
とても すばらしい パラダイスです。
そこに にんぎょの 王さまの おしろが ありました。
おきさきさまは、6人の おひめさまを うんで すぐに、しんで しまいました。
おばあさまが、おひめさまたち 6人を おせわして いました。
おばあさまは、おひめさまたちに いろいろな せかいの おはなし、
うみの そとの いろいろな 国の おはなしなど、
よのなかの ことを くわしく おしえて くださいました。
王さまの おしろは、いろどりごりの さんごと
きらきらひかる しんじゅの はいった かいで できていました
6人の おひめさまたちは、 すくすく せいちょうして いきました。
とくに、すえの おひめさま にんぎょひめは、 6人の 中で かくべつに うつくしく、
アクアマリンのような 目を して、
バラの 花びらの ような うつくしい はだを して いました。
にんぎょひめは、 みしらぬ ふねが、てんぷくしたとき、
うみにしずんだ うつくしい 少年のぞうを たいせつに もって いました。
上のおねえさまたちに くらべると、
にんぎょひめは、 ものおもいに ふける ことが すきで、
ちじょうの にんげんの せかいの おはなしを きくのが だいすきでした。
15才に なったら うみの上に うかび あがる ことを ゆるして あげましょう！
ふねに のっている人を 見たり、 うみべの町を 見たり、みどりの森や
空とぶとり、まぶしい たいよう、
とても いいかおりの うつくしい 花たちも 見られるわ。
まず、一番上の おねえさまが 15才に なりました。
いろいろな ものを 見て、 かえって きました。
おしろや、ぶどうえんの おはなしなど、 山ほど おみやげばなしが ありました。
おんがくに 耳をかたむけ、 ことりの さえずりを きき、
バラいろに ひかり かがやく あさ日や、
おうごんいろの 夕日を 見たり した おはなしです。
にんぎょひめが 15才に なるまで、 あと 5年の 年月が ひつようでした。
じぶんも はやく うみの 上の せかいが みたくて たまりません。
やがて、まちどおしかった 15才の たんじょう日の日、
にんぎょひめは、 うみの上に あがって いきました。
いままでの おはなしで きいたこともない すばらしいもの、
それは、ふねの 上の 王子さまでした。
ふねの 上では、王子さまの たんじょう日を いわう パーティーが おこなわれて いました。
とても すばらしい 王子さま！ なんて すてきな かた なんでしょう！
そのときです。
きゅうに 空が まっくらに なり、 大あらしが きて、
王子さまの のっている ふねが、 しずんで しまいました。
にんぎょひめは、ひっしで、 王子さまを さがしました。
気を うしなって いた 王子が 目を さました とき・・・・
にんぎょひめは、いわはの かげに かくれて いました。
そこへ、一人の かわいい にんげんの むすめが あらわれました。
たすけて くれて ありがとう！ きみは いのちの おんじんだ。
王子さまは、その むすめの 目を見て ほほえみ かけました。
わたしが、王子さまを たすけたのに・・・・
王子さまは、わたしに、気づきもしなかった!! なんて ことでしょう・・・・。
にんぎょひめは、なきながら
うみのそこの 王さまの おしろに かえって いきましたが・・・・・・
いつも おもって いました・・・・。
また、王子さまに おあいしたいわ・・・・
にんぎょひめは、 ついに がまん できなくなり、
上の おねえさまに ことを うちあけました。
さぁ、王子さまの 国へ つれてって あげましょう・・・・。
上の おねえさまたちは、 王子さまの すむ おしろの ある
うみべへ にんぎょひめを つれて いって やりました。
いとしの 王子さま・・・・。 わたしも にんげんに なりたい・・。
上の せかいにすむ にんげんと
うみのそこに すむ わたくしたちの ちがいを はなして あげましょう。
にんげんは いのちが つきると えいえんの たましいを さずかるのです。
にんぎょは、300年も 生きて いられるけど、
いのちがつきると うみの中で あわと きえてしまう うんめいなの・・・。
にんぎょひめは、 まいにちの ように 王子さまを 見る ために、
しろの バルコニーの 下まで いきました。
おばあさまから おしえて いただいた にんげんに なり、
えいえんの たましいを える ほうほうは、 王子さまと えいえんの あいを ちかうことだわ!!
にんぎょひめは、にんげんに なる けっしんを して、
うみの まじょの いえに むかいました。
おまえの そうだんごとは、 すべて お見とおしだ。
さぁ、このくすりを おのみ！ のめば、ひれが 二本の 足に なるよ。
にんげんの ように あるくと、 ガラスが ささった ように いたいのさ。
それと、 おまえの その きれいな こえを もらうよ！
王子さまの あいを かくとく できなかったら、
おまえは、つぎの日、 あわと なって きえるのさ！
これで・・・ 王子さまの おそばに いられる・・・・
にんぎょひめは、はまべで くすりをのみ にんげんに なると、
ガラスが つきささるような いたみを こらえて
王子さまの おしろへと いきました。
なんて うつくしい人だ！
きょうから この しろに すんで ハープを かなでて くれないか？
王子さまの おそばに いられて 王子さまの おせわが できて、とても しあわせ!!
・・・と、にんぎょひめは、 こころの 中で さけびました。
王子さまは、にんぎょひめを とても たいせつに して かわいがりました
きんし ぎんしで おられた すてきな ドレス・・・。
ひかり かがやく ネックレス・・・・。
王子さまが バイオリンを ひき、 にんぎょひめの ハープと がっそうです。
月日が たち 王子さまは、
となりの 国の おひめさまと けっこんする ことに なりました。
こえを うしなって ほんとうの きもちを つたえられなかった せいね！
おもいを つたえなければ、 こんれいの つぎの日・・・・
わたしは、うみの あわとなって きえてしまう・・・。
うみの まじょに わたしたちの かみを うって、
このナイフを 手にいれたわ！
これで 王子さまの むねを さしなさい！
おねえさまから ナイフを うけとりましたが、 にんぎょひめは、どうしても、
王子さまを さすことが できませんでした。
わたしは・・・、王子さまと いっしょに いられる だけで、しあわせだった・・・。
あいする かぞくを すて、 うつくしい こえを すて、
その くるしみと ひきかえに
おうじさまとの しあわせな じかんを える ことが できました。
王子さまの あいは、 もう あたらしい 花よめの もの・・・・。
さようなら！ 王子さま！
あなたのしあわせを いつまでも いのってます！
にんぎょひめは、あさ日が のぼるころ、 うみの あわと なって きえました。
なにもしらない 王子さまは、 けっこんして、とても しあわせでした。
はなよめは、にんぎょひめ、そっくりの かわいい おひめさまを 生みました。
にんぎょひめは、 うみの あわと きえましたが、
えいえんの たましいを さずかり、
ふたたび、おひめさまとして、 このよに たんじょう できたのでした。
