コンビニ大手のファミリーマートは消費期限を3日延長させた商品を関東や関西など約1万1600店に拡大して販売すると発表しました。　
Family Mart, a major convenience store, announced it would expand and sell products with an expiration date extended more three days to about 11,600 stores in Kanto and Kansai.
容器を真空状態にしたうえで中の総菜に適したガスを入れて密封することで、おいしさはそのままで消費期限を延長することができるということです。　
After putting the container to a state of vacuum, they will put a suitable gas in the ready-made dish and seal the box, so that the shelf life will be extended while the dish still remains delicious.
食品ロスの削減に向けてファミリーマートでは去年から東海地方の一部の店舗で販売していました。　
To reduce food loss, Family Mart has started selling at a number of stores in the Tokai region since last year.
「消費期限の延長を含め、食品ロス削減に対策を講じていく」としています。
"We will take steps to reduce food loss, including extending the expiration date." they said.
