2030年のサッカーワールドカップは、初めて3大陸6カ国で開催されることが決まりました。
FIFA＝国際サッカー連盟の理事会は4日、2030年のワールドカップについて、アフリカのモロッコ、ヨーロッパのポルトガルとスペインによる共同開催案を「唯一の立候補」として承認しました。
来年の総会で正式決定するということです。
また、1930年の第1回ウルグアイ大会から100周年を記念し、南米のウルグアイ、アルゼンチン、パラグアイで1試合ずつ実施します。
これで2030年の大会はアフリカ、ヨーロッパ、南米の3大陸、6カ国にまたがって開催されることになり、史上最大規模となる見通しです。
FIFAのインファンティノ会長は「分断された世界でFIFAとサッカーは団結している」と強調しました。
