新型コロナの自宅療養者が増えるなか、厚生労働省は自宅でも酸素吸入ができる装置について「高濃度の酸素は火が燃え広がりやすい」と使用に注意を呼び掛けています。
火の付いた、たばこを近付けるとチューブを伝って瞬く間に炎が燃え広がりました。
これは「酸素濃縮器」を使っている最中に、高濃度の酸素に反応し火が強くなることを再現した映像です。
医療用のガスを扱う団体は火が消えたと思っていたものでも再び燃え上がる危険があり注意が必要としています。
自宅で「酸素濃縮器」を使う人が増えていることから、厚生労働省は、「酸素吸入中は絶対にたばこを吸わず医師の指示で正しく使用してほしい」としています。
