In Islam, when a person dies, you have to do a ”burial” to bury it in the soil.
However, there are not many graveyards in Japan where burial can be done.
Three years ago, Muslims bought a large land in a town in Oita prefecture to create a burial graveyard.
However, people living nearby are against it, and Muslims are still talking to the town.
For this reason, representatives of Islamic people from Kyushu and Okinawa will hand over a letter with a request to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on the 17th of this month.
