It was thought to be gone in the Central Alps, but a female was found three years ago.
The Ministry of the Environment moved 19 grouse living in the Northern Alps to the Central Alps last year to increase the number of grouse in the Central Alps.
Upon examination, five nests were found in the Central Alps, and three pairs of grouse were found warming their eggs.
And at the beginning of July this year, 20 chicks were born in three nests.
In the Central Alps, no chicks was born in nature for about 50 years
The Ministry of the Environment said, ”We are very happy.
I want to raise the chicks up. ”
