A New York couple undertaking renovations on their 100+ year old house have found 66 bottles of prohibition era whisky within the walls and under the floorboards.
Nick Drummond and Patrick Barker have been living in the village of Ames for over a year.
2 months ago they had decided to under take large scale renovations of the 1915 property.
The scotch whisky labels read ”Old Smuggler Gaelic”
It appears to match a brand name manufactured at that time.
Following their sudden death in October 1932, the moonshine remained in the property.
Mr Drummond estimates each bottle to be worth roughly one thousand dollars.
