40 endangered sea turtles frozen in the cold to Florida to warm up

Forty endangered sea turtles that have become hypothermic in the cold waters of Massachusetts in the northeastern United States have been transported to a specialized hospital in southern Florida to keep them warm.
Sea turtles may fall into a symptom called ”cold stunning” when exposed to cold water for a long time, causing a hypothermic reaction and becoming immobile.
The protected Kemp’s rid turtle was found washed ashore on the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and arrived in Florida Keys, Florida on the afternoon of the 28th for treatment.
According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Kemp’s rid sea turtle is the smallest species of sea turtle, with a body length of about 60 cm and a weight of about 45 kg.
Populations have plummeted due to human activity and are in extreme danger of extinction
