China has stopped all imports of seafood from Japan.
On the 24th, at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, sea water was added to the treated water to reduce the concentration of remaining substances such as tritium and began to flow into the sea.
Chinese customs has announced that it will stop all imports of marine products from Japan from the 24th.
Customs said, ”If Fukushima’s radiation-contaminated water is washed into the sea, it will not be safe for Chinese people to eat.”
Until now, China has stopped importing marine products from nine prefectures, including Fukushima and Miyagi, as well as from Tokyo, but has extended this to all of Japan.
I think fish from Hokkaido are popular in China, so I want them to return to the way they were before.”
