Compared to the 29 boards of education surveyed last year, the number of teachers missing increased by 36%.
According to a survey, there was a school where the vice principal took over as homeroom teacher for a while because there was a shortage of teachers.
In some schools, teachers suddenly quit and new teachers could not be found.
A member of the organization said, ``I’m surprised that the number of teachers we don’t have is increasing so much.’’
We need to urgently change the work environment for teachers.”
