JR to Install Platform Doors at 243 Stations by 2033
In an effort to reduce the number of accidents where passengers fall onto the tracks, JR East Japan is currently installing doors on platforms at 31 stations in the greater Tokyo area.

Today, JR announced a massive expansion of this project.
This expansion will see JR installing platform doors across the busiest 243 stations in Tokyo by March 2033.
工事にかかるお金は５０００億円ぐらいです
Construction costs are expected to climb as high as 500 billion yen.
Construction will start with the stations serving over 100 000 passengers daily.
