The Eiffel Tower’s Olympic symbol remains until the LA Games

The mayor of Paris has announced his intention to keep the Olympic symbol installed on the Eiffel Tower in Paris until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Mayor Hidalgo announced in a local newspaper that he planned to keep the Olympic ring on the Eiffel Tower, but he did not mention a deadline, which led to many voices of opposition.
On the 6th, the mayor announced his plan to replace the Olympic symbol with a lighter one and leave it at the Eiffel Tower with a deadline of ”until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.”
Additionally, the Paralympic symbol installed at the Arc de Triomphe will be moved to the square on the Champs-Elysées after the Games, and will be on display until 2028.
