Fuji Baking raises prices of 24 Japanese and Western confectioneries Raw materials soar

Fuji Baking announced that it will raise the price of some Japanese and Western sweets by 8.4% on average due to soaring raw material costs.
The price will be raised for 24 items, some of the Western and Japanese sweets that will be delivered from October 1st.
The target Western confectionery is ”Space Apollo” and 4 pieces of ”Soft Muffin Cake”, and the Japanese confectionery is ”Delicious Tamago Steamed Bread” and ”Hot Cake”. The average price increase is 7.9% for Western confectionery and 8 for Japanese confectionery. It will be 0.6%
The main factor was that the price of eggs was rising due to the soaring prices of raw materials such as sugar worldwide, and it was decided that corporate efforts alone could not absorb the rise in prices.
According to Fuji Baking, the prices of Japanese and Western sweets have been raised since July 2018.
