Intel US aims to rebuild its management as new CEO
On the 12th, US semiconductor giant Intel announced that it will be using Lip Boo Tan as its CEO.
Intel was once the leader of the semiconductor industry, but in recent years it has lagged behind its competitors and is trying to rebuild its management.
Tan has long experience investing in the IT industry and has served as CEO for many years at Cadence Design Systems.
Tan will replace Pat Gelsinger, who retired from Intel’s CEO last year.
According to Intel, Tan will be appointed CEO on the 18th of this month.
Mr. Tan will also take on major challenges in taking over Intel’s management.
Intel is far behind in both mobile computing and AI technology transformation, and is keen to fall behind competitors like Qualcomm and NVIDIA.
With Intel’s future uncertainty, there have been speculations about the acquisition in recent months.
