Heat waves in Europe, the hottest summer ever recorded

Europe was hit by a severe heat wave and drought this summer, and this year turned out to be the hottest summer ever recorded.
The EU = European Union weather information agency ”Copernicus Climate Change Service” announced on the 8th that the average temperature in Europe from June to August was the highest ever observed.
The temperature exceeded last year by 0.4℃, setting a new record for the second consecutive year.
It was the highest temperature for August, 1.72°C higher than the average from 1991 to 2020.
Since June, Europe has been repeatedly hit by heat waves, and wildfires have occurred frequently along with droughts in various places.
Even in France, Avignon in southern France had a record summer with 36 days with a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.
