A team from Australia’s Museums Victoria Institute has recently discovered several strange-looking new species of deep-sea creatures in the Indian Ocean.

The researchers set out on Australia’s northwest coast and sailed to the remote Cocos (Keeling) Islands marine park.

”We’ve created a very detailed map,” said Tim O’Hara, chief scientist at the Museums Victoria Institute.
It’s hard to believe, but no map has ever been made before,” he recalls.
As a result, the whole underwater world consisting of canyons, ridges, old submarine volcanoes, etc. has been clarified.
