UNIQLO sues SHEIN for selling its own counterfeit products.

Uniqlo, a major clothing company, has filed a lawsuit against SHEIN, a Chinese fashion mail order company, for selling counterfeit products.
UNIQLO has filed a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against three companies, including SHEIN’s Japanese subsidiary, demanding a halt to sales and damages of approximately 160 million yen, accusing them of selling counterfeit bags.
This is the first time in Japan that Uniqlo has sued a company for selling counterfeit products.
Uniqlo commented, ``This is seriously undermining the high level of trust our customers have in our brand and the quality of our products.’’
Meanwhile, SHEIN’s Japanese subsidiary issued a comment stating that it is currently investigating the matter, saying, ``We respect the intellectual property rights of others and take all allegations seriously.’’
