The only department store in Gifu Prefecture has disappeared.

岐阜市ぎふしにあるデパート「岐阜高島屋ぎふたかしまや」が7月がつ31日にちに閉しまりました

Gifu Takashimaya, a department store in Gifu City, closed on July 31st.

岐阜県ぎふけんにはデパートがなくなりました

There are no longer any department stores in Gifu Prefecture.

このデパートは1977年ねんに始はじまりました

This department store started in 1977

多おおいときには1年ねんに品物しなものを250億おく円えんぐらい売うりましたが、最近さいきんはその半分はんぶんぐらいになりました

At the peak of my career, I sold about 25 billion yen a year, but recently I’ve sold about half that amount.

建物たてものも古ふるくなって、閉しまることが決きまりました

The building is getting old and has been decided to close.

31日にちは朝あさから1000人にんぐらいが並ならんで、買かい物ものを楽たのしみました

On the 31st, around 1,000 people lined up from the morning and enjoyed shopping.

最後さいごに、デパートの社長しゃちょうが「今日きょうで店みせはなくなりますが、お客様きゃくさまの心こころの中なかで生いき続つづけることができたらうれしいです

At the end, the president of the department store said, ``The store will close today, but I would be happy if we could continue to live in the hearts of our customers.’’

長ながい間あいだ、ありがとうございました」とあいさつしました

デパートがない県けんは、山形県やまがたけん、徳島県とくしまけん、島根県しまねけん、そして岐阜県ぎふけんの4つになりました
