US aircraft giant Boeing has requested that airlines inspect the rudder control system of its main small plane, the 737 MAX, due to concerns that bolts may be loosening.

According to Boeing, each company’s inspection process involves removing panels and visually checking bolts and nuts.

The company will also carry out similar inspections on new aircraft in the future.
