Shohei Ohtani was selected as the Major League Baseball Monthly MVP (Most Valuable Player) in July
This is the second consecutive month of awards following June.
Major League Baseball announced the monthly MVP for July on the 2nd of this month, and Otani of the Angels was selected from the American League.
Otani released nine home runs in July and also won two wins as a pitcher.
Also, it attracted a lot of attention such as participating in the All-Star Game as the first dual wield player in history.
It was the first time for a Japanese player to win the monthly MVP for the second consecutive month, and it was the first achievement in nine years among all the players in the major leagues.
