World Heritage Sites are sought to fire; wildfires continue to occur in Korea
Large-scale wildfires have been simultaneous in South Korea, and World Heritage Sites are on the verge of fire
Since the 21st, wildfires that have been occurring simultaneously in the southeast have been difficult to extinguish due to strong winds and dryness.
The city is known for its historic village in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, and is known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city is calling for evacuation throughout the area.
The current wildfire had a burning area of approximately 15,000 hectares, and four firefighters have been killed and 11 have been injured so far.
The South Korean government has designated areas with severe damage as special disaster areas and is taking action.
