今日午前8時58分ごろ、沖縄県与那国島で最大震度4を観測する地震がありました。
At about 8:58 a.m. today, an earthquake occurred on Yonaguni Island, Okinawa Prefecture, with a maximum seismic intensity of 4.
気象庁によりますと、震源は台湾付近で、震源の深さは23キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは7.7と推定されています。
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter was located near Taiwan, the epicenter was 23 km deep and the intensity indicated the scale of the earthquake was estimated at 7.7 magnitude.　
この地震により沖縄本島地方、宮古島・八重山地方に津波警報が出ていましたが、午前10時40分に津波注意報に切り替わりました。
A tsunami warning was issued for the main island area of Okinawa, Miyakojima and Yaeyama areas due to this earthquake, but the warning was changed to a tsunami warning at 10:40 am.
これまでに、与那国島では午前9時18分に30センチ、石垣島では午前9時52分に20センチの津波が観測されました。
So far, a 30 cm tsunami was observed on Yonaguni Island at 9:18 am and a 20 cm tsunami was observed on Ishigaki Island at 9:52 am.
宮古島では午前10時8分に20センチ、午前10時50分に30センチの津波を観測しています。
On Miyakojima, a 20 cm high tsunami was observed at 10:08 a.m. and a 30 cm tsunami at 10:50 a.m.
沖縄県は、午前10時すぎに災害対策本部を設置しました。
Okinawa Prefecture established a disaster response headquarters shortly after 10 a.m.
現時点で、被害の報告はないということです。
There are no reports of damage at this time.
玉城知事は、津波注意報の発令中は、高台など安全な場所へ避難するよう呼び掛けています。
Governor Tamaki urged people to evacuate to higher ground or other safe locations while a tsunami warning was in effect.
また、台湾当局によりますと、東部の花蓮市で建物が倒壊するなど大きな被害が出ています。
Additionally, according to Taiwanese authorities, the eastern city of Hualien suffered significant damage, with buildings collapsing.
台湾当局は津波警報を発表し、警戒を呼び掛けています。
