「環境に優しい」などとうたったプラスチック製品の表示には根拠がないとして、消費者庁は販売会社10社に再発防止などを求める措置命令を出しました。
ストローやコップ、ごみ袋、釣り用具、BB弾などのプラスチック製品を販売する10社は「約三カ月で土にかえる」「完全なエコロジー素材」「地球に優しい」などとパッケージやウェブサイトに表示していました。
問題とされた製品には「生分解性プラスチック」が使用されていますが、微生物によって水と二酸化炭素に分解されるのは特殊な環境での実験結果だったということです。
消費者庁は「合理的な根拠とは認められない」と判断し、景品表示法違反にあたるとして10社に再発防止などを求める措置命令を出しました。
