ロシアや硫黄島で収容した身元不明の日本人戦没者の遺骨を納める式典が開かれ、岸田総理のほか、秋篠宮ご夫妻の次女・佳子さまが初めて出席されました。

今日午後、東京・千代田区の千鳥ケ淵戦没者墓苑で拝礼式が開かれました。

式典では政府の遺骨収集事業により、ロシアや硫黄島で見つかった戦没者の遺骨のうち、身元がわからず遺族に返すことができなかった235柱が加藤厚生労働大臣によって納骨されました。　
At the ceremony, among the remains of martyrs found in Russia and Iwo Jima by the government's remains collection project, Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kato has buried 235 remains unidentified, unable to return to the bereaved family.
これまでと合わせて37万485柱になります。

その後、初めての参加となる佳子さまが拝礼され、続いて岸田総理大臣らが献花しました。
