An idea that overturns that common sense has come out from Philips.
インターネットに繋がる電球なんてどうだろう？
What of a lightbulb that connects to the internet?
すごいかもしれない。
That may be awesome.
でも、そんな必要があるだろうか？
But is there a need for that?
この疑問に答えるべく、スペシャルチームが結成されました。
To address this doubt, a special team has been formed.
彼らはアイディアを整理し、プロトタイプを作り、
They sorted out the ideas, created prototypes,
世界中に電話をかけました。
and made phone calls all over the world.
そして二千十一年十二月、最初の骨組みが出来上がります。
And in December 2011, the first framework was finished.
その案には四つの柱がありました。
There were four pillars to that plan.
