はいそれでは、 時差について考えていきましょう。
時差とは何かと言いますと、 世界各地の標準時のずれのことを言います。
はい、 地球は一日、 つまり二十四時間で一回転、 三百六十度回転します。
ということは、 一時間当たりでは、
三百六十割る二十四で十五度回転するということですね。
つまり、 経度十五度で一時間の時差が生じるということです。
はいまずはこれを覚えておいてください。 経度十五度で一時間の時差、 よろしいですね？
はいそれでは、 時差の計算をしてみましょう。
二つの都市の時差を求める時に、 ロンドンを通る本初子午線、
零度の経線ですね。 この、 本初子午線よりも東側の東経上の都市と、
西経上西側の都市、 に分けて考えてみます。
はいまずは、 二地点が東経同士の時差。
例えば、 日本とカイロの時差について考えてみます。
はい、 日本とカイロはこの図でいくと、 このように表すことができます。
日本は、 東経百三十五度でカイロは東経三十度ですね。
はい、 でこちらの二つの都市の間の時差を求めてみます。
まずは、 経度差を求めます。
二つの都市の経度差はどうなるかというと、 日本は百三十五度でカイロは三十度ですので、
この二つの都市の間、 ここですから、 百三十五度引く三十度をすればこの角度が出ますね。
ということは、 百五度。 では、 日本とカイロの経度差、 ここが百五度ということになります。
はいよろしいでしょうか？ はいそして、 この百五度の時差を求めますね。
はい時差は、 十五度で、 経度十五度で一時間の時差ということですので、
百五度を十五で割ります。
そうすると、 七時間ということですね。
はい、 ということで日本とカイロの時差は七時間であるということです。
よろしいでしょうか？
はい、 そこで、 重要なのは、 覚えておいて欲しいのは、 カイロは日本より七時間前であるということです。
はいつまりどういうことかというと、 日本が例えば十月二日の十八時の時、
カイロはその七時間前の十月二日の十一時ということになります。
これをしっかり覚えておいてください。
