「花王」は廃棄されたペットボトルを粉砕したうえで独自の処理を加え、アスファルトの機能を高める製品を開発しました。
この製品を使うことでアスファルトと小石や砂などを接着しやすくさせ、アスファルトの耐久性が約5倍になるということです。
約1500本分のペットボトルを再利用することで100平方メートルを舗装できるということです。
物流拠点や高速道路のサービスエリアなど耐久性が求められる場所での活用が期待されています。
