ところが、会場で演出の花火が上がると、あっというまに天井付近に燃え移ってしまいました。　
However, when the fireworks went off at the venue, they quickly caught fire near the ceiling.
26日夜に起きたこの火災について、ロイター通信は、新郎新婦を含む113人の死亡が確認されたと伝えています。　
Reuters reported that 113 people, including the bride and groom, were confirmed dead in the fire, which occurred on the evening of the 26th.
また地元メディアは、死傷者の数がおよそ450人に上ると報じています。
Local media also reported that the number of casualties was about 450 people.
「会場には800か900人以上いた。数秒で会場全体が燃え上がった」

披露宴会場の建物に燃えやすい建材が使われていたことや、有毒ガスが発生したことで被害が拡大したとみられています。
It is believed that the damage was caused by the use of flammable building materials in the reception hall building and the release of toxic gases.
