「Dr．スランプ」や「DRAGON BALL」などで知られる漫画家の鳥山明さんが今月1日に亡くなっていたことが分かりました。
68歳でした。
週刊少年ジャンプなどによりますと、鳥山明さんは1日、急性硬膜下血腫により亡くなったということです。
鳥山明さんの事務所は「まだまだ成し遂げたいこともあったはずで残念でなりません。
多くの世界中の方々に支持していただき、45年以上にわたる創作活動を続けることができました。これからも鳥山明唯一無二の作品世界が、末長く皆様に愛され続けることを切に願います」とのコメントを発表しました。
鳥山さんは愛知県出身で、1978年に漫画家デビューし、1980年に連載を開始した「Dr．スランプ」で爆発的な人気を博し、「DORAGON BALL」は1984年に連載を開始しました。
